Itinerary

Day 1Arrival / Istanbul

Upon arrival, meet and greet local guide and proceed to Istanbul Old City. Our first visit is going to be Blue Mosque which was built by Sultan Ahmet the first on 1616 and very famous with its stunning blue tiles on its Wall. Afterwards we visit Hagia Sophia which was built as an Orthodox Church by Emperor Justinian in 537 AD. However the giant worship center was converted in a Mosque by Sultan Mehmet the Second in 1453. It is now a museum where you can enjoy the harmony of two culture in the same building. After our time finishes at Hagia Sophia, we continue our trip visiting Topkapı Palace which was built by Sultan Mehmet the Second in 1475. Topkapı Palace is the biggest palace in Turkey and also one of the biggest in the World by its 80 acres area. Topkapı Palace is the most visited palace in Turkey while it offers to its visitors many beautiful small mansions with nice view of Bosphorus Strait or Golden Horn, many valuable jewelleries which was used by the Sultans, Holy Relics such as David’s sword, Moses’ Staff and so on. After we have our dinner, we proceed to hotel and check in.

Day 2Istanbul / Trabzon

After we have our breakfast, we check out hotel and then proceed to Leather Outlet Center which is nationwide famous. After our shopping time ends, we take a short cruise trip and enjoy the beautiful Bosphorus Strait with hundreds of houses by the strait and many beautiful palaces from Ottoman Era. Afterwards we proceed to airport for domestic flight to Trabzon in Northern Turkey. Upon arrival in Trabzon, we proceed to hotel, check in and dinner at hotel.

Day 3Trabzon

After we have our breakfast, we proceed to city tour Trabzon. First we visit Ataturk’s Mansion which is a big mansion that is located on a hill over Trabzon with a beautiful view. After our visit to this beautiful mansion, we are going to visit Hagia Sophia Museum that was built as an Orthodox Church but converted into a Mosque as in the stroy of Hagia Sophia in Istanbul. Later on we have our free time at Silver Bazaar which is quite famous in Turkey for its unique style hand made bracelets and necklace from silver. When our free time ends in Bazaar, we proceed to hotel and have our dinner.

Overnight in Trabzon.

Day 4Trabzon / Rize

On this morning after breakfast, we check out from hotel and proceed to Sumela Monastry that was built as an Orthodox Monastry on 4th century AD by Greek comers from Athens. That monastry is full of Icons and Wall Paintings that pictures what is written in Bible. After we enjoy history and nature at the same place we proceed to somewhere that can be called heaven on earth that is Ayder Plateau. During our trip to Ayder Plateau, we are going to stop for a couple of time to enjoy heavenly view of beautiful Blacksea Highlands. Upon arrival to Ayder Plateau, we check in hotel and have our time to enjoy enviroment at Ayder.

Day 5Rize / Kars

After we enjoy our breakfast at hotel, we early departure from our hotel and proceed to Kars via Artvin that is located on the border of Georgia. On our trip we are going to witness the beautiness of many plateau and mountains that has different floras. Upon our arrival in Kars which is located on Eastern Turkey, we are going to visit Ani Ruins that was built by Armenian Kingdom on 10th century AD. But that city was conquered by Turkish tribes that first entered Anatolia on 11th Century AD. After we enjoy history there we proceed to our hotel, check in and then dinner at hotel.

Day 6Kars / Dogubeyazit / Agri

After we have our breakfast we check out from hotel and proceed to Doğubeyazıt which is located on the most eastern part of Turkey. Upon arrival in Doğubeyazıt, we visit Ishakpaşa Palace which was built by the Ottoman Empire on 18th Century AD that has unique Turkish and Armenian architectural style. Afterwards we proceed thru Mount Ağrı/Ararat which is the highest mountain in Turkey with the height of 5137 meters. Upon our arrival on the skirt of the mountain, we are going to make a photo stop at a place where is believed to be the place of Noah’s Ark landed.  Afterwards we proceed to hotel and check in.

Overnight in Doğubeyazıt.

Day 7Dogubeyazit / Agri / Van / Istanbul

On this morning after we have our breakfast at hotel, we early depart from hotel and proceed to Van. Upon arrival to Van, we are going to visit Akdamar Church which is located on Akdamar Island of Lake Van. The church is an Armenian Orthodox church which was built by Armenian Kingdom on 10th Century AD. After we enjoy beautiful scenery of Lake Van and high plateau of eastern Turkey, we proceed to airport for domestic flight back to Istanbul. Upon arrival in Istanbul, we check in hotel.

Day 8Istanbul

After we have our breakfast at the hotel, we check out from the hotel and proceed to Grand Bazaar for shopping traditional souvenirs of Turkey. Afterward, we proceed to Taksim Square for enjoying free time to witness life on the center of Istanbul. After we have dinner, we proceed to the airport for a flight going back to your home.
